<p>I really want to go to UCF, it is my top choice, however my gpa is now low cause i had a really bad slip up in 11th grade and couldn't recover from it in time. I'm a current Florida resident, male, my mom was born and raised in Spain while my dad is African American (well actually he is Haitian, but most places group that into AA) my current stats are:
2.9 WEIGHTED GPA </p>
<p>24 ACT (on my first try, i have the chance to take it again and get the scores in time to send them)</p>
<p>about 40 community service hours</p>
<p>My ECs are:
Freshmen year: chorus ( awarded most outstanding in my period), volunteering at the local hospital, beach clean up</p>
<p>Sophomore year: Chorus, Madrigals, acting, Thespians, book club, relay for life</p>
<p>Junior year: Chorus, Madrigals (historian), Thespians (publicist, Historian, got a Superior at Districts and an Excellent at state), Forensics Speech and Debate (got several first places locally), book club, blood drive at my school</p>
<p>Senior Year: Chorus, Madrigals, Thespians (Spirit Coordinator, publicist, i haven't won any thing yet for the year just started) Forensics Speech and Debate (captain, and the year just started so no honors yet), key club, book club</p>
<p>I also have three letters of recommendations, on of the is from my science teacher that i had for 3 years in different subjects (i want to take pre-professional vet courses so i thought that might be good)</p>
<p>I also have taken many honors, pre AP, AP, and advanced classes as well (not sure if that helps)</p>
<p>So my worries are that my GPA will prevent me getting accepted there, but hopefully my ECs and other activities might be able to help.</p>
