Chances of getting into UChicago?

<p>ACT - 34 composite with 35 in math and 36 in science, 34 English, 31 reading, 31 combined eng and essay (but they don't look at essay anyway)
770 chem 780 math subject tests (should I submit these scores? They aren't required but if they're good I should)
3.96 unweighted 4.7 weighted cumulative HS after Jr year
AP wise - took Gov as So, chem and lang as jr, plan to take Econ, Spanish Lang, bc calc, h. Physics, and literature as a Sr.</p>

Been playing a sport nationally for 10 yrs

<p>Your scores are very impressive. I think you’d have a good shot at the ivies like… Brown, Dartmouth and Cornell (especially) with the higher ivies you have a chance but they’re still major reaches for you.
and non ivy schools which are also very selective.
Like Harvey Mudd college, Georgetown etc.</p>

<p>How is your weighted GPA decided, because that’s extremely high which doesn’t make any sense?</p>

<p>Thanks so everyone who commented, and Hawkace our weighted GPA is calculated with an A being worth 4 points and honors and AP being worth 5 points. Add up points and divide by # classes</p>

<p>Once you have the stats and EC’s, the essays are what really count for UofC. They tend to put more weight on essays than most schools do. </p>

<p>If you apply EA, you’ll get accepted, but nothing is ever “guaranteed” “100%.” Admissions will still read your essays even with a coach’s admit slip.</p>
