Hi guys, Im currently a student at PCC planning to transfer by next fall. I have a tag application with UCSB but where i really want to go is UCLA for psychology. Problem is, i don't think my GPA is high enough. I currently have a 3.3(after this semester) which is on the low end. However, i do have a couple of things that might help me. I've had a job for 4 years working 30 hours a week as well as being a full time student. I've been on a upward thread GPA wise. ( started out with 2.7(spring)3.1(fall)3.5(spring) and expecting to get a 4.0(current). I know the average transfer GPA is ~3.7 but i would still like to know what my chances are if i was some how able to produce a great short essay. I also have my IGETC finished and i do volunteer at Dream Catchers in LA when i have free time.

Another thing i would add is that i have 2 C's thats dragging my GPA down. (English 101 or 1A, and philo 1) i know i can't retake these classes at PCC but is it possible for me to retake them at another CC and have it replace my current C's? that would be awesome and would boost my GPA by quite a bit.

Any help would be a Appreciated! even if its negative. Thanks!
