HI, Can you guys tell me the chances I have to get into Uconn, storrs because I recently got deferred from Uconn. I don't know my chances of getting in also since I got defferal, is it from storrs or from the regional one. If it is from the regionals, then that is really bad for me. Uconn is actually my number one choice for college, so I really hope that they would accept me. Heres my high school record: 3.5GPA, top 15% of the class, SAT is average, have some ap classes, and some other honor classes, really good teacher's recommendations, some community service, I volunteer like maybe 60 hours, volunteer as a tutor for school. I am in National Honor Society, and also won the book award. But I took ESL in Freshmen year, and have really low class, then I transfer to honor and ap classes, sophmore, junior and senior year. I only came to america for 4 years. Do you guys think Uconn will accept me in April? THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

What do you consider average for the SAT? Are you considered an international for admissions?

Average like 1600s, I know it’s really low …nope, I am not consider an international student for admissions…

I think you will get in, if not its because of SATs.

Yeah, I know!! My SAT scores are really low, and I think it’s probably because of that :(

sorry, I don’t think you will get in because this year they are not taking very many people that have under a 1250/1600 because they are trying to become more selective like other top public schools. In a few years Uconn should be comparable to U. Michigan

my friend got rejected with a 3.7 uw GPA and a 1980 from the engineering school

OMG…really?? I feel bad for your friend and I feel that I am gonna get rejected too! T_T
