Chances of getting into UCs?

I am currently a high school senior applying to UC Irvine and UC Los Angeles. Although I have a feeling my application is pretty weak compared to other students for getting into a UC, I just wanted to know my chances of getting into Irvine or Los Angeles.
I'm not sure what my UC GPA would be, but I will post my 10th and 11th grade grades here (we go by semester grading).

10th grade:
History (World Civilizations II) - B/B
English (Honors American Literature) - B/B
Math (Geometry) - C/C
Laboratory Science (Biology) - B/A
Language Other Than English (Spanish II) - A/A

11th grade:
History (US History) - B/B
English (AP English Language & Composition) - B/B
Math (Algebra II w/ an Intro to Trig) - D/C
Laboratory Science (Chemistry) - B/B
Language Other Than English (Spanish III) - B/B

I believe my UC GPA is at a 3.1, but I just wanted to double check if anyone could verify that for me?

I don't have any awards and not many extracurricular activities aside from being a church choir member in 9th and 10th grade for 3 hrs a week for 8 weeks. Also, I sing and play the guitar from 9th-12th grade for 1 hr a week for 10 weeks.

My highest SAT score is at 1840 with a 660 in Critical Reading, 490 in Math, and 690 in Writing.

What are my chances, individually speaking, for getting into UC Irvine and UCLA?

Are you in state or out of state?
UCLA would be a Reach IN/ High Reach Out
UC Irvine would be a Low Reach (due to gpa)/Reach Out

I am in state.

Sorry to say I’d say your chances are very slim. My S got rejected at both schools last year with 3.7 UC GPA, 2000 SAT scores, some honors, awards and many extra curricular activities. All UC’s are becoming increasingly competitive (except for Merced, but that will change over next several years) especially for in-state students. Best of luck to you.

If you are Eligible in the local context, they may refer you to Merced. Read more about thate here:

Otherwise, you are probably out of luck. Hopefully you applied more broadly. Most of the CSUs would be happy to have you.
