Chances of getting into UCSD Computer Science

My name is Jack and I am currently applying to UCSD for Fall '18 from a CCC
Currently attending College of the Canyons in Valencia, CA

Major: Computer Science B.S. (Impacted)
Overall GPA: 3.8
Major GPA: 4.0

Not many EC’s:
-Computer Science club
-I’ve been in a rock band that I started for over 5 years (I put most of my free time into this band so I feel it shows commit to pursuing something I’m passionate about)
-Been playing guitar my whole life (jazz and classical for 4 years) I was previously a music major
-I’ve had a steady job for the past 3 years

On a somber note, both of my parents are deceased as of earlier this year and I plan to include that in one of my personal insight answers. I’ll be supporting myself through the remainder of my B.S… I will have all of the transferable lower division major requirements offered at my CC completed by Spring '18. I will also have an AS-T in Computer Science as well as IGETC certification when I transfer. UCSD is my top choice for transfer right now. What are my chances? And any advice for me before I submit my app?

https://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/transfers-major says that UCSD CS admitted 25% of applicants for 2016; the 25th-75th percentile GPAs of admits were 3.75-3.98. UCI, UCD, UCSC, UCR, and UCM are less competitive, so you may want to apply to some of them as backup options.

@ucbalumnus Thanks for the reply! I submitted the TAG for UCI so that is currently my backup school. I just want to go to UCSD the most by far. I want to make sure I’m doing everything in my power to increase my chances of admittance.
