I have a 3.73 unweighted GPA, a 1340 on my SAT, but a 20 on my ACT. Do you know any students who have been accepted into UF who has sort of around my scores? I have been involved in a vast amount of extracurricular activities and band is my top one.
Your GPA looks fine (but UF looks at GPA and class rigor), but very few, if any students get accepted with a 20 ACT. You’ll need to retake these test and improve your scores.
You may find this helpful for comparing the 12 Florida public universities.

It will list the middle range GPA, SAT and ACT scores for admitted students for each college. You’ll also note that some colleges allow summer enrollment (you start classes in the summer, instead of the fall). It’s a bit easier to be accepted if you apply for the summer.
For example, lets look at FAU.
The FALL middle 50% for GPA is 3.52 to 4.25 (this is a weighted average, giving +0.5 points for honor classes and +1.0 points for AP/IB/AICE/Due Enrollment classes. So an A in honors History is worth 4.5 points and a B in AP Chem is worth 4.0 points). However, the SUMMER GPA range is 3.18 to 3.92.
If you’re in the middle 50%, the schools a match. If you’re below it, it’s a reach.
Good Luck!
I do not to well when it comes to timing when taking a test, but I believe that if it was an unlimited test, I would be able to score atleast a 24 on it. I’m in a tremendous amount of clubs such as band, debate club, Phi Theta Kappa (at my dual enrollment school), SGA, National Honor Society, BETA, and Talent Search. I also have all honor classes and am taking several dual enrollment classes. I believe my essay is pretty good, do they look more into the student than the grades?
