You need to calculate UGA’s and UF’s weighted GPA. Both use different systems.

First UGA:

Next, UF:

Once you have your UGA and UF weighted GPA, compare it to the middle 50% of admitted students.

UGA (2013)
Middle 50% of All Enrolled First-Year Students: 3.77 - 4.05
Overall Average of All Enrolled First-Year Students: 3.83
SAT-I Middle 50% of Admitted First-Year Students: 1790 - 2060
ACT Middle 50% of Admitted First-Year Students: 27 -31
Overall ACT Average for Admitted First-Year Students: 29

UF (2013)
Middle 50% of the Freshman Class:
High School GPA of 4.1 - 4.4
SAT of 1780-2020
ACT of 26 - 31

As long as your weighted GPA falls within the middle 50%, then you should be a match (academics), however, both schools use holistic admissions. Both Universities take into account EC’s, leadership, first generation, volunteer and work experience. UF does to such an extant that admissions can seem a bit random (UGA less so).

Good Luck!

Thank you!!

Your GPA is kinda low for UF, but the rigor of your schedule would probably bring you above 4.0 for UF. Make sure to maintain leadership and ECs. UF will look carefully into that. Good luck! :)

Thanks for all the advise.
Here is my EC:
This summer I will be volunteering at the hospital and I have also volunteered with schools activities and with little kids. I am in my schools health science program and I am Vice President of HOSA ( the health science club at my school) which has over 100 members. I was also VP of my schools Psychology club. Next year I would be eligible to get my CMAA and CET through the health science program at my school.
