I would love to go to UIUC for pre-nursing. I have always loved the campus and think it is a great school. However, I'm kind of nervous about the getting accepted part. What do you think my chances are?
I am a white female
My ACT composite is 30
My unweighted GPA on 4.0 scale is 3.8
I have always been in honors classes and am will have 18 dual credit hours by the time I graduate (my HS does not offer AP courses)
My EC/volunteer activities include:
Marching band 3 years
Concert band 4 years
Colorguard 1 year/Winterguard 2 years
I volunteer with Special Olympics which is an all day event
I also volunteer with food drives every year and help with Toys for Tots at Christmas time
I work at the local hospital in the cafeteria and serve food to patients

This summer I went to Illini Girls State, a leadership conference that I was invited to along with about 400 other girls from all over Illinois

I have written both essays and had a former UIUC student look over them; he thinks they are both very good.

I sent my ACT scores to UIUC right after I got them, and they invited my family and I to a local student program this month where I will attend an admissions presentation, dinner, and a football game.

What do you think my chances are? Does inviting me to the local student program mean they are pretty interested in me?

Thank you!
