<p>Hi! before I list my credentials I'd like to first inform you that I have already applied early action to umass because I applied for architecture and they recommend applying early to quicken the portfolio reviewing process. also, the architecture department is a little different than other departments at umass and recommends a 3.25 gpa, but the schools average gpa is an adjusted 3.72.</p>
<p>I applied with a 3.17 gpa and a 1610 sat score. I've been captain of my cross country team for 2 years, I have 40 hours community service, I've been working at the same job for 3 years and I also took one AP course junior year that I got a 3 on and got an A in the class. this year I'm take 4 AP classes and one honors course, I mentioned all of these things on my application. the reason I have a low gpa is because I slacked off pretty bad 9th and 10th grade but I got straight A's junior year</p>
