Chances of getting into UMD, Michigan, Georgetown, UC Berkeley, Columbia, Stanford?

Hi, I'm a junior in a humanities and communications magnet program in Maryland. What are my chances of getting into the above schools. I want to major in Political Science in college. So far, University of Maryland is my only fallback school, so I'll need to find more of them. But I really want to get any of the other schools, Berkeley especially.

I have a 3.96 GPA, 4.54 WGPA (haven't received a B since 8th grade). I think I'll end up taking nine APs.

Haven't taken the SAT yet (doing that in January) but I have a 2110 on the PSAT (from last year).

ECs: President of the Young Democrats club, treasurer for the school A Capella group, member of the debate team, former policy and communications staffer for a gubernatorial campaign (wrote and developed a lot of her policy platform, worked with the comm director on outreach during debates and during the homestretch of the primary), member of the Commission on Children and Youth in my home county, run outreach and fundraising for a charity that provides prosthetic limbs to kids in Sri Lanka, possibly the Editor in Chief of the online school newspaper next year, currently a staff writer on the newspaper.

What do you guys think? Any chance to get into the above schools? What should I do to improve my chances?

I would say your chances of getting into michigan and umd are very very high. Berkeley and Georgetown are more selective, but I would say both are likely. Stanford and Columbia- people with similar situations get rejected from these schools every year, only advice would be to spend a lot of time on essays and visit to show demonstrated interest if you are financially able to! Good luck.

For UMich LSA, your GPA is good while your current estimated SAT is slightly below admission average. I bet your real score should be better. As of now, UMich would be a very high match to low reach.

Get really good test scores. Your extracurriculars are decent but not incredibly outstanding. The PSAT is really not a great indicator. I got a 210 as a sophomore and a 2340 on the SAT recently as a junior and a 35 ACT. Just make sure you get good scores.
