I've never been on this site before so if I'm posting this in the wrong place, sorry.
I applied out of state early action the chapel hill and I'd like to get some idea of what my chances are for acceptance...
I have a 3.98 unweighted GPA and a 4.6 weighted. I'm in the IB program at my school so 6/7 of my classes are IB acedemic classes (next semester it will be 5/7 as TOK 2 is only one semester). By the end of senior year I'll have taken 1 AP test (I got a 5) and 5 IB tests. For extracurriculars I do varsity tennis (4 years), varsity track (3 years), mock trial team (4 years), national honor society (2 years and treasurer), spanish honor society (3 years) and book club (1 year). I work saturdays for 4 hours at a local hospital. I've gotten acedemic awards too, among them honor roll for every quarter so far. I got a 2150 on the SAT.
what do you guys think? I'm really nervous because everyone says UNC is difficult to get into especially if you're out of state.

please someone say something!

So you’re out of state? I’m in-state, but what an adcom allegedly told my school’s IB coordinator is that IB kids automatically get put in a separate pile because they know our workload is substantial. IB kids traditionally a better job adjusting to Carolina’s academics.

However, I really can’t say what your chances are. I’m in-state, and my school has a good track record with Chapel Hill, so my expertise on your situation is basically nil.

thanks- I didn’t know that about the IB thing. that’s good
