Hello I’m a junior in High school now, it’s second semester I ended the first semester with a 3.2 weighted GPA and right now I have a 3.9 weighted GPA with overall 5 weighted classes after senior year. I’m involved in 6 clubs I founded the Programming club and am president of it. i am also the president of Filipino club and have done 4 years of track (2 varsity letters) I have been involved in the same 6 clubs since the beginning of high school and I’ve been in the California Scholarship Federation for 2 years and I’m taking the SAT in May and next October and also I’ve had over 150+ hours of community service. I hope to finish my essay which I have started and hope to edit through summer, I’m applying as an in-state. My overall GPA will most likely be a 3.8.
besides my transcript, I was born and raised in the city of Stockton California ranked one of the most miserable cities in the world, Stockton has had an increase in crime. 2012 was the worse year of my life, the crime rose drastically during that year and i lost 3 friends killed from shootings. I go to a public School filled with many kids who have no ambitions and only influences to drugs and violence. Only a minority of kids at my high school care for their future and that’s the reality here in Stockton, not many kids at my school care about life after high school so they try to ruin it for other kids at school by causing gang related violence, selling drugs, and fights with other teachers and students at school. I just hope I can incorporate that in my essay so that the admission office could feel what i must go through everyday just to pull it together and try to make something out of my life I have a strong influence in Computer science and i have helped developed two apps and also have been seen on TV for creating the programming club I want to major in business.
