<p>I'm a junior living in Oklahoma, but my dad lives in Miami near the university so we both thought attending college near him would be a good decision. Currently, I have a 3.8 unweighted GPA, 4.8 weighted. By next year, I'll have a 5.1 weighted. Some things about me:</p>
<p>-taking Honors/AP classes (since freshman year)
-ACT Composite score: 31
-Involved in various clubs (Key, NHS, President of Spanish Club)
- I plan on accumulating 100 hours of volunteering this summer
- My mother makes < $25,000/year (single mom)
- I don't know if this is relevant but 1st generation to be born in US (Venezuelan and Mexican parents)
- Fluent in Spanish
Also, are scholarships available if ONE parent lives in the state that I want to attend college?</p>
