Your GPA is in the ballpark although a little bit below average for UMN. If you are taking the December SAT/ACT, your chance would be much lower as it will passed the 12/16 priority deadline. They actually do rolling application and will start reviewing application in October. If you are a senior and still have not taken any ACT/SAT by this Fall, you are far behind schedule and it indicates you are not so serious about college.
For UMN, you don’t need recommendation letters and SAT2 subject tests are not required nor recommended. If you have taken the SAT/ACT already and get a reasonable good score, you may have received a golden gopher application invitation that would waive your application fee. Also, there is no essay requirement. In other words, the evaluation would be heavily depending on your school performance, standardized test scores, and EC.

Register immediately for the closest SAT date you can -November probably but if you can go as a stand by or late registration in October that would be better since it’s rolling admissions (meaning it’s first come, first served, kinda - the earlier you apply, the better).
It sounds as if you don’t have an SAT score: is that correct? That SAT or ACT score is what UMN wants, not SAT2 scores (those will look nice but they’re the cherry on the cake - the cake being the SAT. Right now you don’t have the cake yet :p). So preparing for the SAT or the ACT should be your priority.
If you haven’t done so, fill out their “request info” form (immediately).
