Thank you for taking your time to read this.

Well, I think it depends on the college that you want to get in. For CLA, you have a fair chance. That’s all I know.

CLA is for psychology right? I’m currently aiming for psychology.

Yes, psychology is a major that CLA offers. Are you planning to apply for 2014 Fall admission?

Yes, im retaking SAT in november

Is your GPA unweighted? You should really study for your SAT in November because I don’t know if you can get in.

If you’re in state then you have a pretty good shot. If you’re out of state then you may not get in–but if you have an upward trend in grades you might still. CLA is definitely the easiest one to get into

Based on the stats of admitted students (current Freshman class of 2013) at this link:

[Academic Profile](Academic Profile of Fall 2022 Admitted Freshman Applicants by College | Office of Admissions)

the College of Design, the College of Education and Human Development and the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences are all easier to get into than the College of Liberal Arts. I see that you want to major in psychology which is most likely in the College of Liberal Arts. The average SAT score for Freshman students currently attending UMN in the College of Liberal Arts is 1897. You listed your GPA, but you didn’t list your class rank. Does your school rank? The average high school class rank for the College of Liberal Arts is top 16.3%. Your class rank might be a better indicator of your chances of being admitted than your GPA. I would really study hard for the SAT that you are going to retake in November. Currently your score is 177 points below the average for the College of Liberal Arts. Good luck!
