I will graduate early from high school this December, and plan on applying for spring semester 2013 at the University of Tennessee this October. I currently live in Knoxville, TN, and I live about 20 minutes away from the campus. My current high school GPA is a 3.45. My high school transcript is alittle more on the rigorous side; I have taken honors courses and will be taking dual enrollment English and AP Calculus for my senior year in high school. My ACT score unfortunately is only a 23, but I will attempt the ACT one last time this September and hope to increase a few subject areas (University of Tennessee does the super-scoring method). Just recently I became a member of the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS). I hope that by becoming a member of the NSHSS that this increases my chances of getting accepted. My question is this: Is there a good chance that I will get accepted based on my GPA, ACT, rigorous courses in high school, and becoming a member of the NSHSS?
