Chances of getting into University of Washington? (Transfer Student)

Hey guys, quick poll here, what do you guys think my chances of getting into UW are? I have a 3.76 college GPA currently, with only engineering, math, chemistry and comp sci classes under my belt.

There are limited space available. I think if you are already enrolled only about 1/3rd get admitted. You likely have a better chance if you are instate. You will just have to apply and find out. This is not the chances area and no one will know anyway.

Do you have any English classes? If you read their online materials, you will find they value strong writing. Work on your essay. I suggest you read all the materials about the department, about applying to CS, about transfers first.

I’m transferring into my sophomore year as just an undergrad, no certification.

The priority lies with transfer students coming from Washington community colleges. Your GPA would be competitive for that group, but if you are coming from out of state or another four-year college, 3.76 is more average (maybe even on the lower end for the STEM fields). Personal statement is key, especially explaining any personal circumstances surrounding your need to transfer. And if you are really pushing for the engineering programs, you might need to apply more than once.
