Do you think I have a good chance? I am just worried about my scores a lot. I take 4 AP classes this year, and took 2 last year.
The UW only looks at unweighted GPAs, so if your unweighted is in the 3.7 range then I’d say match
act must go up at least 2 or 3 points
not true^ i had a 27 and I’ve seen people get in with 1500 SATs. You should be fine, but yeah it wouldn’t hurt to get it higher. I think as long as it’s 25+ it should be fine.
My friend got in with a 3.4 GPA and 27 ACT score. His essays were the key component and the AP classes. The main thing that UW focuses on is the essay, I go to Bellevue College and when they come to visit for college fairs that is the number 1 thing that they focus on. They want students who are academically strong for sure, but are you prepared for your major? Do you have what it takes to become whatever you intend on becoming in regards to a career choice?
For reference, this document includes some information about the students who enrolled at UW Seattle in the fall of 2015: http://opb.washington.edu/sites/default/files/opb/Data/2016_Fast_Facts.pdf
The average GPA for the class entering UW Seattle was 3.78 (out of 4.0), and the average SAT was 1855.
