Chances of getting into University of Washington

UW GPA- 3.46
ACT- 29
SAT-1300
In state applicant
I have taken mostly AP and Honors courses and running start classes
I have a decent amount of volunteering and extra curriculars
I had an internship at a research and development company
I want to major in Biology or environmental sciences

I know my GPA is on the lower side but do I have any chance? Thanks.

Not sure if they take weighted GPA into account, but try and find a way to let them know. Bio is a harder major to get into, and I’d guess you’re on the lower side for it. It’s a reach for you, probably.

They don’t look at your weighted GPA so your unweighted is below average but maybe because you have taken almost all AP classes they might forgive your GPA. Your ACT score is a perfect match. I would say you have a decent chance, as long as your essay and EC’s are really good.

Also your SAT score is above average (only by 10 points though) but thats good and also since youre in state that helps alot. So actually I would say you have a good chance.
