<p>Hello, I was hoping to get a better idea of my chances of getting into University of Texas-Austin. I am skeptical because of the low admittance of out of state students and the fact that I hope to get into the business school which is one of the hardest schools to get acceptance into. Here are my extracurriculars and academic info:
-rank: 29/442
-GPA UW: 3.91, W 4.2
-4 AP classes currently (art history, us history, stats, lit&comp)
-took 2 AP classes last year (Lang and Econ-macro and micro)
-other classes are mostly business which is what I hope to go into
- current ACT:28, will be taking one more time to raise it hopefully </p>
<p>Extracurriculars:
-Varsity tennis player all 4 years, current captain of team
-FBLA member for 2 yrs, competed and placed at districts, current co-president
-Student Council member for 4 yrs, officer for 3 years
-DECA (business club if you're not familiar with it) member for 2 years, current board member and went to International competition last year
-NHS member for 3 years
-Viking Edge leader (mentoring program for freshman), 1 yr </p>
<p>Community Service:
-completed Missouri a+ program, 50 hours of tutoring of elementary age students
-food bank volunteer for 4 years
-particated in same can drive consecutively for 4 years
- boy's tennis team manager- volunteered for two years
- other various hours from volunteering, such as working with the Special Olympics, Clean Stream project, Restore St. Louis</p>
<p>Work experience:
-seasonal employee at retail store </p>
<p>Other:
-selected to attend Missouri Girls' State
-selected to attend Audrey Walton Youth Leadership Program
-selected as KMOX/Southeast Missouri State student of achievement
- Gateway 16's and 18's champion for tennis league (Missouri valley area) </p>
