Chances of Getting Into UT Engineering

Hi, I just wanted your guy's opinion of what my chances of getting into the engineering school are. UT is my top choice, because I really want to be part of the Architectural Engineering program, which I hear is pretty selective, I love the campus, all my cousins attended UT, and my sister is also currently an Architecture student there. I'm a Texas resident and I attend a small private school in Fort Worth.

It will be tough. ArchE is one of the most selective departments in the entire university, because it is small. You need to get your SAT score higher, I think. Congrats on reaching Eagle Scout rank, though!

Right now my first choice is Architectural and my second choice is Civil. If I couldn’t get into Architectural, could I get into Civil and then transfer over? Also what SAT/ACT score would you say I should aim for, because I think I’m done testing, but I could try again if need be.

Arch E’s internal transfer at UT requires literally a 3.9 or 4.0 ; Goodluck , hopefully you get in as a freshman , cause a 3.9 or 4.0 at UT even in basics is Hard as hell!! and SAT score i would go for is 2100+

I have a 32 ACT right now which is converted to a 2120 SAT, so I really hope I can get in.
