What are my chances of being accepted off the waitlist? Does anyone have the numbers from last year ?
Search for the common data set for Lafayette. We info will be there. But check the past couple yrs of data as it can be very different from yr to yr
Nobody knows now. It will largely depend on the yield of the students already accepted.
2014-2015 statistics: 1827 applicants put on waitlist; 464 accepted spot on the waitlist; 37 students admitted off the waitlist. My S won’t be accepting his spot on the waitlist as he has too many other good offers to engineering programs. I think he is over the sting of the waitlist decision. He has attended so many Lafayette events with me as an alum that I think he was really hurt that they didn’t “want” him; he already felt like part of the community. Not to mention his sister was accepted two years ago and decided to attend another school. Oh well, there will be many other disappointments in life.
Updated numbers 2015-2016 Common Data Set: For fall 2015 admissions 1532 put on waitlist, 428 accepting spot on waitlist, 3 admitted off the waitlist.
Last year the yield was a good bit higher than expected leading to a very low number of students taken off of the waitlist. Nobody can predict how things will play out this year.
