So I got waitlisted and I chose to opt in. I read that last year everyone who opted in got off the waitlist but the year before no one got admitted off the waitlist. Is this true? What do you think the chances are this year? I applied Undeclared if that helps. And generally by what date do they let you know if you got admitted off the waitlist?

I’m in the exact same boat. Been waiting for this post. Anyone have any ideas?

Haha I hope what happened last year happens this year. Apparently people found out as early as April that they got admitted off the waitlist so hope that’s true too. If all this doesn’t work out, I guess UCR it is.

I really hope I get in too… If this doesn’t work out, I’m off to Cal Poly SLO (which isn’t too bad either)
The wait is killing meeee :-SS

going to bump this since no one else has answered

What are your stats?

3.37 gpa, 2090 SAT score (730 M, 720 W, 640 CR), 31 on ACT
volunteered at a hospital and library, various clubs at school (I really don’t want to type this all out but we’ll go with 4-5), learned Indian classical dance, was part of a Venturing Crew in which I have a position as a historian, National Merit Commendation award, and there may be more I can’t list off the top of my head I don’t remember
Anyways my first choice major was Undeclared Business & Econ and my second choice was Undecided Humanities or something like that

Your SAT score is pretty high, so I don’t see how you can’t get in. I got accepted with a 3.19 UC GPA, 1810 SAT for Literature (Creative Writing). My 2nd choice major was Sociology.

At UCSC they say that they don’t consider major, but I think they secretly do lol. That’s probably why you got waitlisted.

My kids just freed up 2 accepted spots.
CompSci and Business/Economics

good luck!

Thanks! I hope it works out similar to how it did last year, fingers crossed. ^

I really hope we find out soon. I heard in another post that a girl got off the wait list on Friday the 18th of this year so I guess some people are getting off.
