I applied for a normal triple as my top choice at college ten. What are my chances of getting a triple? Cause I don't want to get stuck in a small triple.

To be honest, the housing coordinators are pretty lame. Before my freshman year I applied for double, triple, then single, and I got place in a single.

You will likely get into the triple though since many do not pick that option.

Ok. Thanks. That helps. What college did/do you live in/at? What did you major in?

My daughter just heard from College 8 and was forewarned that due to more students enrolling this year than anticipated, many doubles are being converted to triples. She wanted standard double, then standard triple, then single, so we’ll just have to wait and see what she gets. Horrible to think that many standard doubles will now become small triples, ugh. I’m guessing the small triples will cost less, and I’m hoping those students most benefitting from lower housing costs will be assigned the small triples.

My son had a triple, (converted double room) his first year. He requested double as first choice. His triple turned out great. He was assigned two roommates he didn’t know. They were considerate of each other, compatible in the close quarters. Not everyone has that experience, but it can happen. And it is less expensive.
