Chances of going to ucla

So I had a bad freshman year: 3.26 uw gpa but in my sophomore year I really improved and got a 4.0 UW gpa all honors classes both year. In my junior year I’m taking ap Chem and history and all other classes honors. If I get a really high gpa this year as well will the freshman year be neglected. Will I have a chance at a school like UCLA or that tier schools

EC’s:
Sophomore year:
Global leadership
Amnesty international (went to dc as part of a conference with select people from my school.
Environmental action.
Junior year:
Amnesty international
Global leadership
Environmental action
School newspaper (one of the top ranked ones in New England)

Also last summer I did an internship program in India and gave a 2 day seminar in a rural poor school about the environment and sustainably and also about what America is like
My state: Massachusetts

Thanks for the help in advance

UC’s only consider sophomore and junior grades, as well as standardized test scores plus for some, EC’s and holistic factors. Freshman grades are considered at other colleges but matter less than later grades. Until you have completed your junior year and have SAT/ACT scores any estimates would be meaningless. I would check with your schools Naviance (if they use it) for a reasonable estimate on how students at your high school fare.

Leadership EC’s matter most, especially ones that your are passionate about. Some schools like sports too.
