Hello,

I am a Senior in ECE (Electrical Engineering) in UIUC ! I came here as a transfer as a junior from India. I have a low GPA of 2.89 from my first 2 semesters (It took 2 semesters for me to completely get used to the UIUC education system)(Also, the most damage done is due to the fact that I overloaded too much in order to fill my unhonoured technical credits from my previous college--> to avoid an extra semester since it means more money) . But I am a senior as of now and wish to apply for Grad school. And I want to continue here in UIUC.

I have complete faith and confidence that i will do extremely well in this semester because of the effort im putting in. But even if I do really well, my GPA will go to a max of 3.25/4.0
Is this GPA sufficient for impressing the admission panel to go to grad school here (impressing them with a 4.0 gpa in this semester with 18 technical credits)?
I will be giving GRE this November and I am expecting a score of about 320/340. I have been doing research with one of my professors but I started very recently. I am worried if I can ask him a letter of recommendation this early.

Some one please help me. Is it possible to get into Grad school or do you think I should take an extra semester and improve my GPA much more.?

Thank you
