Chances of having my scholarship rescinded?

I got into Fordham Gabelli school of business with the presidents scholarship, a full ride, because I was a national merit scholarship semi finalist (and subsequent finalist).
Around a 3.5 or 3.4 gpa ( freshman-junior year, unweighted)
2200 SAT
Extra curriculars minimal, had secretarial job in parent's office all high school years, decent essays
Most classes are AP Classes
Senior year classes and 1st semester grades:
AP English: B
AP Microeconomics: B-
AP US Government: B
AP Psychology: B

Second semester is looking like 2 B's and 2 C's. Would this have a significant chance of my scholarship being rescinded or being placed on academic probation?

I don’t think you have much to worry about unless you are actually failing classes. The Presidential scholarship is based on PSAT and SAT for the most part anyway.

second that!!
I also got a presidential scholarship for gabelli and my gpa also dropped now, but I’m not worried…are you rose hill or lincoln center?

Gabelli is RH only as far as I know.

@alexbcn‌ I’m at the Lincoln center!

@Ceroxylon‌ They’re starting Gabelli in Lincoln center for the coming fall, first year with 50 students, I believe

Didn’t know about Gabelli at LC either. Pretty good idea considering it’s actually in Manhattan.

Although I wish they opened it up for non-Gabelli students as I am very interested in entering the finance industry and Fordham LC doesn’t have an “Intro to Finance” class.

are you also in the gabelli honors program?

Gabelli will be at RH for the foreseeable future given the millions they spent renovating Hughes Hall into a state of the art facility. The demand for Business at LC needed to be addressed so they did that, but it wont affect RH. Some kids prefer a large classic gothic campus with sports and some prefer an urban setting like LC. The quality of the programs will not be different. Gabelli kids at RH get awesome internships in Manhattan so nothing to worry about being on the larger campus in the Bronx.

You’re lazy and you don’t deserve the scholarship based on those grades. Get your act together.

That’s not really true. Like I said, the scholarship is based on SAT scores. @xaneres‌ has a 2200, which for Fordham is probably in the top 5% (if not more), considering I also got the scholarship with a 2160. GPA does not matter because it varies so much per school (I had a 3.8, so even if it did matter and GPA was standardized his SAT more than made up for it). Plenty of people have at least a C or a lot of Bs in the second semester of senior year, even those who go to top ranked schools. Unless you fail or get all Cs/Ds, nothing happens.

I am sure nothing will happen to your scholarship with those grades. However, I agree with Integer that it does not bode well to get two Cs and two Bs. Remember that you will need to work hard to keep your GPA up to KEEP that scholarship. See the messages section of your FA page. Good luck.
