<p>Hey guys, im an Indian student studying in Singapore and im very keen on applying to Princeton, RD. My preferred major is Math/Econs and i need a rough idea about my chances of making it in. Please be as frank and honest as possible and thanks a lot for your time.</p>

<p>SAT 1 old: 1480 (M: 780, V: 700)
SAT 1 new: 2280 (M: 780, W: 750, CR: 750)
Havent gotten back SAT 2 yet but i think it went well
For my prelim exams, I got 4 As (I take A levels) and B+ for General Paper (English) and my 2 Special Papers were Distinctions. My high school teacher-advisor said that the A levels compare to AP exams and Special Papers compare to the Honors programme. I hope that helps.</p>

Singapore Youth Festival (Drama) - Gold and National 2nd
3 other major school-based drama productions
Performed at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (one of the best arts colleges in the region) for their graduation ceremony</p>

<p>Singapore Chemistry Olympiad - Gold (national 6th or 7th)
Finalist for International Chemistry Olympiad selection and training
Came into the top 8 for an Invitational Chemistry Olympiad amongst 50+ chemistry undergraduate students</p>

<p>Thinkquest International Website Building Competition (organized by Oracle)- First for age-group, best of Open category and overall champion. We were invited for a 4 night stay at San Fran and attended a global conference where we met lots of CEOs and cool technocrats (pardon the expression).</p>

<p>Participated in an exclusive Maths Enrichment Camp for 18 students throughout Singapore</p>

<p>High School Library Quiz – 1st</p>

<p>National Design with Graphic Calculators Competition-10th</p>

<p>Inter- House Floorball tournament – 1st</p>

<p>In addition to this I have screenplayed and acted in a movie for the Canonfest Awards, done a lot of public relations related community service, attended and contributed at a number of Scientific and Mathematical lectures and conferences and have spent many hours doing mathematics tutoring. I have also done MC-ing for Indian cultural programmes and acted in quite a number of their dramas.</p>

<p>I don't know much about this stuff, since I am trying to apply as well RD.
But in my opinion, which is worth virtually nothing, I think you've got a fair chance that's definitely worth checking out.
So just work your arse off writing the essays and see what happens.</p>

<p>11th Terms : 80% Finals :81%
12th Terms : 88%</p>

<p>In the top 2 percentile of my class (150) students. Top 3 of my class in Computer Science. Have done many projects in collaboration with my college Computer Science department to help the college.</p>

<p>Ive been captain of my college football team (during my junior and senior years). We we state level champions, also part of the basketball and chess teams of my college.</p>

<p>Been class representative of my class in both junior and senior years. Im the Secretary of the Rotaract club of my college, and I was on the Board of Directors last year as well. Taken active part in social service, organised many events for underpriveliged children, organised career fairs for muncipal students etc etc. Ive been Editor for the club since i joined it.</p>

<p>Im Editor of my college magazine. Regularly write articles for it and for newspapers in my city. Did an internship with Hindustan Times in the summer.</p>

<p>Leader of the Math and Science clubs. Won the Inter collegiate Math n Science quizzes. (113 colleges).</p>

<p>Selected from amongst all the colleges of my city (there were 20 other selected people) to be part of the Materials Camp -ASM International 'India chapter' held at IIT Bombay.</p>

<p>Presently doing a project in Solid State Physics at TIFR (tata Institute of Fundamental Research)</p>

<p>Selected by Cathay Pacific as one of the 3 delegates from India to represent India at the CXIWE-2005 (Cathay International Wilderness Experience Program) held in South Africa.</p>

<p>Chosen for the TATA Scholarship (awarded to 5 students of Bbay or summat like that) for displaying excellence in various fields (academic/non academic).</p>

3. Reached the Semifinal stage for the ESPN School Quiz in Bombay.(ie. Top 8 out of 104)</p>

<p>Part of my school debate team.
Appeared for the elementary and Intermediate examinations in Art. Passed both with a grade C. (:P)
Given Levels 1,2 and 3 of the Trinity College of Londons Examination for Elocution. Achieved Distinction in all three.</p>

<p>There are a few other things to add anyway .. These are all I can think of !</p>

<p>no i wont make it for ED. My college exams have only just got over and ive just started the application filling procedure. So i dont think ill make it for the nov 1st deadline. unless ofcourse i really rush through the procedure and mess things up. something i wouldnt wanna do.</p>

He is currently studying in Duke.</p>
