They said I need SL/HL math but the 2 offers I've seen for mechanical engineering from hkust both have HL math (offer:34/35)

I'm getting
HL biology: 6
HL chem: 6
HL economics: 6
SL maths: 7
SL english A: 6
SL chinese B: 6

quite weird for someone who wants to study mechanical engineering to not have physics as one of their IB subjects haha

Why did n’t you take higher level maths or physics (engineering requirements)? Your subject requirement suggests that you’re interested in applying for medicine related courses.

Anyway, their general IB requirement is an IB score (out of 45) between 35-40 points. In addition to that, they require ‘‘Senior Level Mathematics and one Senior Level subject from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Studies, Statistics’’. You meet the science requirement but I’m not sure you meet the maths requirement. When they say ‘senior level’ are they referring to higher level or standard level subjects or both? If it’s both standard/higher level then you meet the requirement for the school of engineering.

hi, im applying for chemical and biomolecular engineering and i asked them, they said they take standard and higher level maths. What do you think my chances are??
