Chances of me getting into BS in grade 10

@GMTplus7 thanks for your advice. But I dont get why you are trying to convince me to apply to other schools. It may be difficult, but I think anything is possible as long as I try. The possibility may be low, but there is still hope as long as I dont give up. Giving up before I even try, is a battle lost already. And even though if I really dont get into any schools I applied to, I will still be able to attend the school I am in. It may be very stressful and rigid, but I will still be happy cause I tried to apply but it failed so its okay. Its just an opportunity to explore the world missed, but that doesnt mean I wont go overseas to study forever, I will still go, but its just a matter of time.

PS. Asians aim for the top schools not depending on who went there before, but mostly what kind of results they produce recently.

I’m not discouraging u from applying to the half dozen insanely selective schools u listed. I’m only cautioning u to be realistic about your chances and NOT LIMIT YOURSELF by not considering some other excellent & very prestigious BSs.

If it were me, I wouldn’t even waste my time w Groton as a 10 grade applicant. Groton has the fewest spaces for 10th grade admits of all the schools u mentioned. Milton is only half boarders, so however many new 10th graders
Milton admits, u can already divide that number by 2 for boarders.

All the ultra-ultra selective schools u mention have admit rates in the teens and admit proportionately few int’l students than the merely very selective ones. While a school like A or E might admit 40 10th grade boarding boys and 40 10th grade boarding girls, only a handful of those spots are allocated for int’l students. You are not competing for one of 40 spots, but one of maybe 4 spots.

Plus SG tends to have a lot a applicants, as does HK, China & SKorea. The schools want geographic diversity, i.e. 20 int’l students from a dozen countries, not 20 int’l students from 2 countries.

If u want to GO BIG OR GO HOME, that’s fine. But save your breath telling everyone how great your present school is.
