Good chance of getting in. I can let you know about Honors after you retake the SAT. Also, what is your URM status?

Sorry I’m new at this , what’s URM?

“Under Represented Minority” status.

Doesn’t that only include Latinos? My parents are from South Korea (100%) and I’m an American born citizen.

No, it does not only include Latinos.

South Korean does not qualify as URM, however.

Oh and I’m from Connecticut. Doesn’t that help a lot?

It helps in terms of general admission, but not necessarily in terms of Honors admission.

You’re probably get into Pre-med.
I think only 3-4% of people get into Honors. If you get that CR up then you have a great chance getting in.

A 4.2 unweighted GPA is insane regarding that you took every AP course in your HS! It’s off the charts!!! =p

You don’t “get into” pre-med. Pre-med just means you plan to take the medical school pre-requisite classes. Literally anybody can be pre-med.

About 10% of incoming freshman get into the honors program. There are a little over 4200 freshmen in the current class (http://www.uconn.edu/pdf/UConn_Facts_2010.pdf</a>), and as the honors website says, they’re looking to admit about 450 honors students for the next class (<a href=“Prospective Students | UConn Honors Program”>Prospective Students | UConn Honors Program)

i got into honors 2 years ago so i can tell you what i had, but i heard that their making it harder each year… also, as someone else said, literally anyone can do pre-med, but i do believe theres like a special program thati f you keep up with you automatically get into uconn med school

anyways…
sat: 790 math 700 reading 690 writing (1490 on 2; 2180 on 3)
sat II (didnt try on these at all, or the regular sat for that matter- so my low scores lead me to think uconn doesnt really care about these): 750ish on math 600ish on us history 500ish on spanish
gpa was like a 3.3 unweighted ; 4.0+ weighted
i worked and played soccer otherwise not nearly the resume you have
i was just outside the top 5% of my class; tho my school sucked as you can see (3.3 should not be good enough to be that high)

i didnt see my letters of rec, but one of the teachers i asked initially said no cuz i was too lazy, so i cant imagine they were too good…

the moral to the story is that if i got into honors, you probably could too (Especially if you jump that last sat up)

Yay… Reading SAT got bumped up to 670.

Nice job. Good chance.
