Chances of me getting into the Chemistry Program at Fullerton w/ 2.0?

I know Fullerton is pretty impacted, so I was wondering what were the possibility of me getting into Fullerton with barely a 2.0 or higher.

What are some things I can do to increase my chances? I relatively come from a low income family and a majority of that was the reason for my low grades, loaded with work at my job to help pay for bills.

Will there be a way for me to explain my situation on the CSU application?

How about the EOP Program? Will joining it help show that I needed the extra help?

No way to explain your financial/family circumstances on the Cal State Apply application since essays are not part of the admission process. Any GPA under a 3.0 for impacted campus will be a very tough admit. What you can do is retake any classes you received and D or F and also look at academic renewal at your campus. I would also suggest you lower your sights and apply to some non-impacted campuses for your major such as Channel Islands, East Bay, Dominguez Hills, Bakersfield, San Bernardino, Chico, Northridge, Sac State and Stanislaus.

Questions about EOP and it you need the help, it is definitely worth applying.

your chances are pretty slim at Fullerton but, you might make it into a non-impacted CSU like Channel Islands

It doesn’t matter where you go as long as you go and graduate. You can help your family further by graduating.
