Hello, I’m currently a High School junior in my second semester wondering what my chances are in getting into UCI, UCLA or SDSU. I want to major in Nursing.
I’m a Mexican Female, low income, First Generation (Idk if this will mean a lot) and I live in SoCal.
Unweighted GPA: 3.97
Weighted: 4.36
Class Rank: 1
APs I took: AP Lang, AP Bio, and APUSH. My school does not offer many APs so I took all that they offered which are these 3 so far.
APs I plan on taking: AP Gov, AP Lit and AP Calculus AB
SAT: 1160, 580 Math and 580 English. I’m planning on retaking the SAT on April 9th and raising it up.
Extracurriculars:
Yearbook (1 year)
JSA (1 year)
NHS (2 years) I am Secretary this year.
Secretary ASB (1 year)
Social Impact Club (1 year) I am president.
Girls Build LA (1 year) Founder at my school
Hospital Volunteer (13 months)
Clinic Volunteer ( 3 months)
Thank you for helping me out!!
Low income, First Generation will be considered. URM status will not. You need to calculate your UC/CSU capped weight GPA so here is the calculator:

Your SAT will be an issue and you need to bump it up a couple of hundred points. Also all the schools on your are highly competitive so make sure you have some backup schools on your list.
Below are SDSU’s and UCI’s Nursing stats for admitted applicants. UCLA does not publish their Nursing stats but with a less than 3% acceptance rate you can assume they are similar.
