These are some essay topics i'm thinking of aswell. Played tackle football in 7th and 8th grade and I'm class clown at my school. Also i understand Yoruba (Nigerian language) and i have a church friend who is a Yale Alumni putting in a good word for me at Yale.
Thats about all i have, if you have any more questions just ask away. Also be as blunt as possible, i will not be offended. Thanks

lol um.....

gpa? ECs? awards?
ur test scores are too low, imo

Um...you're not a troll are you?
If you're not...It's not likely.

no harm in trying i guess...

definitely a high reach w these stats and lowish EC awards : /
but Yale is a crapshoot.

your EC's are okay. but that's it.
If you really do get a 32 on your ACT that would strenghten your app a bit.
after that it all comes down to your GPA.

I would say good grades and EC's (variety always a good thing), but if you raise your ACT and get a higher score on your SAT IIs, you will be a better candidate. Yale is random, but URM status helps =) (I am Ghanaian). Check out "Just for Kicks" thread and chance me.

I think that if you boost up your SAT and a few of the SAT II's that you're more confident in, you'll have a better shot. I'm first-generation Ethiopian!
