Hi, I'm a Year 11 student currently enrolled in an IB curriculum-based school. I will be moving to Texas on February 2014 and will enroll in an AP curriculum-based school. I'm interested in taking the undergraduate major for Petroleum Engineering in Texas A&M. So can someone please estimate the chances of me getting accepted there?

Also, my math isn't my strongest subject - but when I actually study I'm pretty good. I just don't process math as fast as some of the smarter kids do. Will this affect me in university?

Plus, does the undergraduate major in PE require me to take the SAT Subject Test for Math? Is it hard to get into? Thanks.

SAT - 2090

CR: 720
Math: 690
Writing: 680

CR+Math=1410

My school doesn't rank, but I asked them to give me a ranking and they told me that based on my grades from Year 9 until now - I am placed in the top 25% of the class.

I'm not sure about how the ranking process goes in America - do they rank your grades from the 9th grade or just from the 11th grade? I didn't know which one it was so they gave me the ranking based on my grades from the 9th grade until now.

Other Accomplishments:
- Skipped a grade (7th grade)
- On a partial scholarship with my current school (half-paid)
- Currently taking 4 High-Level classes (instead of the allowed 3 High-Level classes)
- Accomplished more than 50 hours of Community & Service

Clubs/Extra-Curriculars that I'm taking part in:
- Been on Varsity Volleyball for 2 years
- Saman Dance (Indonesian Cultural Dance)
- Model United Nations
- Flea Market Committee
- Grade Level Assembly Committee
- Debate Club

I didn't do too well this semester because it is my first year of taking the IB Diploma Program and it was a hard transition for me from the MYP, but since I'm doing better now I think I can achieve better grades than this semester so I might be in the top 20% next semester.

Whew! Sorry for the long post!
