I was wondering what my chances would be of receiving a direct admission into the Kelly School of Business is I filed a petition. I have a 3.3 GPA at a one of the most competitive schools in my region. My current two part SAT is a 1310, but I just took the October test and felt really good about it so I'm thinking that I'll have around a 1350. Do you think I could get accepted via the petition?</p>

<p>I would definitely do the petition. IU and Kelley like students with high standardized test scores, as these make the school more competitive compared to other schools. Try to work into your essay that your school is competitive. Being from the northeast will probably help, too. Also, prepare your essay now so that you can submit it as soon as your new SAT score is released. The longer you wait before petitioning, the harder it is to get accepted, as there are probably a limited number of spots open to petitioners. You also want to get your petition to Kelley before other students who are counting on getting higher standardized test scores in the October testing period.</p>
<p>@bthomp1 I just received an email today saying that I have been accepted to IU. Do I submit a petition to Kelly now or do I have to wait until a certain date?</p>
