Chances of Rice admission?

Hi! If it’s not too much trouble, I’d like to ask about my chances of getting into Rice. Here are the highlights of my profile:

Testing:
34 ACT Composite, 1 sitting. 35 English, 32 Math, 34 Reading, 33 Science, 9 Writing (out of 12, right?)
2160 SAT Composite, 1 sitting. 700 Math, 770 Reading, 690 Writing. Probably gonna retake this one in November.
No SAT Subject tests yet, but I’m planning on taking them October 3rd.

Extracurriculars:
Champion, UNO Computer Science Programming Challenge
2nd Place, IT Innovation Cup (basically a yearlong team-based computer engineering contest)
Robotics Team
Marching Band
Concert Band
Junior Varsity Tennis
Band Manager (leadership)
Summer Internship (legitimate research position with local university)
Paid Job (Expo/Server Assistant at local restaurant)
Debate

AP & Honors Classes:
AP Micro/Macroeconomics, Honors Biology, Honors Geometry my Freshman year.
Honors World History, Honors Advanced Algebra, Honors Chemistry, Honors Literature my Sophomore year.
Honors American Literature, AP Computer Science, AP Geography, Honors German 4, AP Physics 1, Honors PreCalculus, AP US History my Junior year.
AP Government, AP Literature, AP Composition, AP German 5, AP Physics C, AP Calculus BC this year.

AP Scores:
4s on Micro and Macroeconomics as well as AP Physics 1 and AP Computer Science. Everything else is a 5. I’ve also left of a few extracurriculars because they were weak and didn’t fit on my common app.

Grades & Class Rank:
3.84 Unweighted GPA. Ranked 30 out of 485 at the end of my Junior year, weighted. These will probably go up slightly, as my current GPA is 3.90.

Other stuff (honors):
Mu Alpha Theta Honors Society
National Honor Society
National Merit Semifinalist (so far - still working on finalist application). Rice is locked in as my top choice.
AP Scholar with Distinction

If you guys could let me know how competitive my profile is, that would be great! Thanks!

Your ACT score is high, definitely send that one if your SAT doesn’t improve by much. Your GPA is good enough, really it depends on how you write your essays. Rice also offers an interview that you can sign up for, although I didn’t interview and still got it. If you apply ED, I honestly think you have a pretty solid shot.

Yup! Work hard on your essays. Here’s some starting advice I gave someone else in another comment like 10 minutes ago: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/rice-university/1821022-what-are-some-things-i-can-do-too-boost-my-odds-of-getting-into-rice.html#latest
