Hey, I'm about to be a senior in high school in the NorCal area looking to go to San Diego State in Fall of 2013.
Cumulative GPA: 3.7 (I am confident i can bring it up slightly with a 3.8/4.0 next year)
SAT: 1770 (retaking in Oct.)
I do not have many EC's but around 25 hours of community service work and am in the top quarter of my class.
I would like to major in business administration if that has any effect on my acceptance.

bump! id really like some input!

Break 2000 and apply early. You have a good chance.

What is your Math + Verbal score? That’s all that matters. 3.7 should be good enough. I don’t think any of what you do on the side really matters since it didn’t for me, but I am a transfer student. 1100-1300 should be a sufficient score range.

My score should be 1230 without writing. Is that good enough? It’s my top choice and I’m worried about it. :/

also isnt 1100-1300 math and reading kind of a low score?

Why are you stressing?! It’s SDSU. 3.7 is great, but what were your courses? Top quarter, your okay! SDSU is on my list too. Good luck, from senior to senior ;)

I’ve taken only 1 AP which was Environmental Science and I got a B and C in it. Hopefully we’re both accepted! Good luck to you as well!

I think that will be your problem if anything. One AP class is kind of “not challenging your self”. Other than that it is a state school, so no stress! By the way, why are you interested in San Diego. NorCal must be boring!

haha im around the oakland area and its not terribly boring but ive lived down in socal as well and i prefer it plus i hear they have a great business program!

I’d say you have good chances! Just try and work on your SAT a little.

also why math + verbal score of 1100-1300 does writing not matter?
