Chances of Top 30 schools and Ivy

Ignore my first thread. Okay I go to the hardest or second hardest private school in Ohio, pay around 18k a year. I transferred Soph. year, that year I got a 3.1 GPA, I was getting used to the school. Next year I got a 3.6 GPA with one Honors Pre-Calc as my only advanced class. Senior year I will be taking AP Calc 1, AP Gov, AP Bio and probably get a 5 on the AP (just a guess). Got a 2100 on SAT and 30 on ACT

I have around 60+ service hours, I am on my schools service board, 2 varsity sports for 2 years, Club soccer for 8 years, joined a lot of clubs and donated around 5k each year to my school for 3 years. Almost forgot I am taking Chinese for 3 years and french 3 years

What are my chances!!! I want to go to Wake Forest, Case Western, Northwestern, NYU, Cornell, Berkeley and Georgetown

Early action I dont care about scholarships

My overall GPA so far is a 3.38

Ohio! Woo represent!

And as for those schools…idk for those schools your GPA looks weak. Even Junior year (and going by your logic you should have been adjusted to the school by then). And same goes for APs, if you go to such a good school you probably have a lot of options that you didn’t take so that might go against you.

Still, ECs are good (colleges like sports!). Just make sure that the “lot of clubs” you joined show dedicated interest, and doesn’t seem like a random bunch of things you joined so you could put it on your app.

Thanks for the help! Any more advice like stretchs low, med, or high or not a chance at all. And is OSU a good back up??

Idk if I can do specifics, I’m not super familiar with all of those schools. But I can say that I’d be insanely surprised if you didn’t get into OSU. It’s definitely a good safety.

What could I have done better to get into those schools? Not including the gpa? ANYONE please help!

The GPA might present a small problem but if your school is well known I am sure that colleges won’t hold it against you as much as they would for a person coming from a normal public school. The ECs and sports are great and I think you have a decent shot at all the colleges on that list. Berkeley Northwestern and Georgetown are low-mid reaches but with a good essay and some more specific ECs you should be able to get in!
