Chances of Transfer to CAS

Freshman from southern state school. Deffered ED from Penn last year, then rejected RD. Applied to Wharton, but I've since decided that I want to major in psychology, thus CAS. Came to state school because I decided that if i couldn't go where I wanted my first year, I might as well go somewhere that gave me a big overage check every semester.

GPA: 3.8/4.0 (got a B in an upper-level anthro class taught by a former Harvard Professor)
ACT: 34
SAT II's: Chinese 800, Math 2 740
EC's: Red Cross Club VP of Service, Club Tennis, English Tutor
Research: undergraduate research assistant for Marketing/Consumer Behavior with a well-known U of Florida professor.
Rec's: Research professor, art history professor from Brown (hardest first-year class, i made a 97. hoping that will make up for the fact that there are 200+ people in that class and i've only been to her office once.)

High school
GPA: had a hard time keeping track, but I ended up graduating in top 3%
EC's: band (section leader), varsity tennis, hospital volunteer. i don't have many, but i spent a lot of time on each one.
Awards: state academic honors award, National Merit Commended Student, All-State Band 3 years
AP's: Senior year- BC Calc 5, Psyc 5, Physics C:Mechanics 5; Junior year- US History 4
those are the max # of AP classes my school allowed us to take.

Reasons for transfer:
1. Hate football. Hate hate.
2. Hate the south (Dad's job moved here in 10th grade). Again, hate hate.
3. No psych research opportunities that interest me.
4. Love Penn.
(I'll make it sound better in the essay)

Its worth a shot. Especially if you can work in some angle of suffering from southern racism (I am presuming from your username and sat2 Chinese score that you are Chinese)

Also since Penn DOES have a football scene (save the real I hate football for your uchicago app), it would be better to say you prefer the ideal of the scholar-athlete as exalted and exemplified by the Ivy League

anyone else??
