Hey, I was wondering what my chances of transferring into JMU or Virginia Tech are. I've completed one semester at Christopher Newport University and my gpa should be between a 3.2 and a 3.4. I took 15 credit hours my first semester and they all transfer. I am registered for 15 more that transfer my second semester. I am a history major as well. The lady at the office of the registrar of Virginia Tech told me that they were looking for a 3.0 GPA and anybody who will complete the equivalent of one year at Virginia tech, which I will. I only assume that JMU has similar standards. Any help, advice, or predictions would be appreciated. Especially from those who have transfered to either JMU or Virginia Tech Thanks!
