I currently attend the University of Miami and (due to family) am looking into transferring to the University of Texas Cockrell school of engineering. At UM, I am a freshman engineering honors student enrolled in intro to engineering, calculus 1 for engineers, university physics, and chemistry. Next semester I will be enrolled in a 3rd year honors english course (creative writing), calculus 2 for engineers, university physics 2, and intro to programming. Prior to coming to UM I had a total of 30 credit hours from AP/dual enrollment courses during high school. By the end of this year, I will have had research experience with the UM school of engineering. What are my chances of getting into Cockrell? And, more importantly, what are the chances of me (an Asian student) getting a scholarship? My tuition is fully covered at UM and plays a huge role in where I can enroll.
