I am currently an out-of-state second year at UCLA. The costs have just become too much for me to handle anymore, and I am going to have to transfer. I am a physics major and will be applying to schools for the same major. My GPA isn't the best by any means, but has been steadily going up since first quarter of freshman year. It should be around a 3.35 after this quarter and hopefully over a 3.5 after winter quarter when I will be applying. I am hoping that coming from a prestigious institute like UCLA will have some extra impact. I have a rather large list of schools that I am looking at applying at right now:

Chicago
UPenn
Northwestern
Cornell
North Carolina
Maryland
Michigan
Madison
Minnesota
Illinois

What are the odds that I can get into these schools if I have a lot of work experience, research with an esteemed professor, physics society, club baseball, fraternity, and will be able to write really good essays?

Thank you
