I'm trying to decide whether I want to transfer or not, and the school I am considering is Cornell.
I'm a communications major at NYU right now (freshman).

High School GPA: 3.87 unweighted, 4.2 weighted (4.5 scale)
(note that it was the #1 ranked public high school in Connecticut)

SAT: 2030

ACT: 30
(both taken once)

Extra Curriculars:

Varsity Tennis
Internship at a fashion magazine
Internship at an outplacement firm
Student trips to Europe and Costa Rica
Shadowed a CBS sports producer at an NFL game
Art and Media Club
And a few other things

My first semester GPA will probably be about a 3.5...mostly because of this Writing the Essay class that all freshmen have to take at NYU and it brings everyone's GPA down (it's near impossible to even get an A-). And I'm starting to wish I had a traditional campus and community feel.

I would be applying for Fall 2013 admission to Cornell's school of Agriculture and Life Sciences for a Communications major. This is apparently easier to get into than other schools at Cornell, and has a favorable acceptance rate for transfers.

And a possible hook is that I would be a triple legacy at Cornell (my dad and both of his parents went)

Let me know your opinions on if it's worth it to apply...thank you!!
