Hey everyone,

I posted this in the Transfer forum, but I thought I'd post it here as well

I currently attend a 4 year CUNY, and I have a 3.1 GPA with 52 credits earned. I have a few questions and concerns though:

I've only been a full time student (taking 12+ credits) twice out of 5 semesters. In those two semesters, my GPA was about a 2.7 (Although this was when I thought I'd major in Bio, but it turns out I suck at science). I took 10 or 11 credits in two other semesters though, but I only took 8 last semester. Would they think that I cannot handle a full course load because of this?

I know that there is an agreement in NJ that states that if a student earns an Associate's degree from an NJ CC, they will be guaranteed acceptance into a state school. Does this also apply for those coming from out of state schools? Also, if I earn my AA this semester, would it boost my chances of getting into Rutgers?

Does residency matter? Is it advantageous if you are in state or out of state?

Is your HS transcript important? I've read that if you have 24+ credits, it doesn't really matter, however, Rutgers still requires you to send it. Also, would I have to contact my HS for my transcript, or would my current college be able to provide that information?

Thanks in advance
