I am in my second semester in college and I want to transfer to Stony Brook for Com Sci.
I have a 3.68 GPA but with only 15 credits so Stony will check my high school transcript and SAT.
Although I will have 26 credits by the end of the second semester, the Stony App is due before that.
I have a 4.0 GPA (94/100) from high school and an 1820 on my SAT (700 Math, 600 Writing, and 520 Reading).
What are my chances of getting accepted?
If my chances are slim, should I submit my application either way or will it look bad for when I try to apply again later on?

Hey, this is what a Stony Brook Admissions representative posted on a different thread. Hope this somewhat answers your question.

"Here’s the deal for transfers. If you’ve completed less than 24 credits by March 1, then we’re going to look back at your high school coursework and SAT/ACT scores.

If all of that (your first semester AND your HS/SAT/ACT) is strong, then your chances are probably good, although we admit very few students who are in that situation. If your first semester was strong but your SATs are weak, then your best bet is probably to hold off on sending us documentation until you have your spring grades and you’ve crossed that 24 credit threshold. Your chances at transfer admission improve if you’re in that 24-60 credit range with a solid GPA and strong courses."
