Chances of transferring into Towson U. after one year in community college.

I am currently a student at CSM. My first semester was last spring and i finished with 12 credits. I am registered for 18 credits this upcoming fall so I anticipate having 30 credits by the end of the semester. What are my chances of transferring into Towson? I currently have a 2.8 GPA and I plan on working my a$$ off this semester. Has anyone ever got in to Towson with only 30 credits? I dont want to apply and get rejected which would probably ruin any chance I have if i decided to re-apply. Thanks for your help and advice.

This is from the Towson site:

Do I need 30 credits before applying to Towson?
We do encourage transfer students to have 30 credits before applying to Towson to be most competitive for admission. However, we do consider applicants with fewer than 30. If you are applying with fewer than 30 credits, we will also consider your high school course work in our admission decision, so you’ll need to provide official high school transcripts and test scores in addition to your regular transfer application.

There is additional information on the website with more exact information. One thing that is mentioned is that the 30 credits should not include remedial classes.

Good luck.
