Chances of transferring to a UC (but not coming from a JC)

<p>I know UC's give priority to transfers from JC's, as well as freshmen.</p>

<p>What are the chances for admission if you try to transfer into the UC system, but are from a college other than a JC (CSU, private, out of state, etc)? Would there be a lesser chance of getting in?</p>

<p>Considering that grades are good during the college freshmen/sophomore years.</p>

<p>The chances are extremely low, and you’d have to have a really good reason for why you’d want to transfer to a particular UC from another university (such as the UC in question offers a unique major that wasn’t offered at your current university).</p>
