I'm currently attending a community college and in my first semester. I plan on trying to transfer following my freshman year since my CC is phasing out my major. I'll have more than 24 transferable credit hours. My question is how much do they take high school transcripts into consideration? I graduated in 2008 and was just an immature punk, graduated with a 1.6 GPA, just did enough to earn my diploma and that was busting my butt senior year to make up lacking credits. And with that GPA you could imagine that I have some competency deficiencies. A couple of routes that I have available to me is to make up my competency deficiencies and have those made up at the end of summer school 2015 and try to begin classes at ASU Fall 2015 based on my college GPA which is looking strong and should stay above 3.0 UW, or just attend a CC for the two years and transfer to ASU with my associates degree

I would go with the less expensive option. Your diploma will read ASU in either case.
